Ever wonder what it’s like to be a superhero? To defeat bad guys and save the day? What do you need to become one? Well, don’t worry because I’m about to tell you. First of all, you need a superpower. Like being able to shoot lasers out of your eyes or fly around on your own power. Other than having special powers, other important aspects would quickly differentiate between hardcore real superheroes versus a wannabe temp job seeker.
Superhero Costume
What would a superhero be without his or her costume, special powers, and secret identity? Just someone wearing some funny clothes with extraordinary skills instead of flying, healing almost instantly, having x-ray vision, or shooting heat rays from their eyes. The hero’s power derives from the identity – both in terms of gaining it and keeping it safe – because heroes are made when they put on that mask, suit up or take a deep breath before plunging into the sea — preparing to die as one person and emerge as something else entirely.
The superhero needs to have a good costume. It should be identifiable as belonging to the hero, something that shows the world that this person has special powers and can do extraordinary things.
Lots of Concentration Powers
A power or special ability may break out in unexpected ways unless harnessed with control or a special power set; e.g., Spiderman should avoid getting distracted by a pretty girl since she could end up in his web! This is the main power that the superhero needs that is going to make him or her different from other people for them to become a hero. You will need lots of training on this one for a superhero!
Sometimes, the superhero also needs to have a sidekick or watchful eye that will help him when he is getting into an intense battle and would need some keys or powerful forces like fire, water, and electricity to save his life if necessary. These sidekicks or watchful eyes often come equipped with essential tools for superheroes, such as special gadgets, weapons, or protective gear. They are critical in ensuring the superhero is fully prepared for any dangerous situations that may arise during battle. Without their support, the superhero may not be able to fully utilize their powers and abilities to their fullest potential.
Good Attitude
Belief in oneself; often called “the power of positive thinking” — if you don’t believe in your own ability to be a superhero then how are you going to convince anybody else? The hero must believe that he or she is the best of the best, and they have to be ready to prove it to everyone else.
You also have to be flexible and open-minded because things never happen the way they are supposed to happen. The hero must constantly adapt to new situations, problems, and unexpected crises to save the day; and there’s no point coming up with a plan if you can’t make it fit when things don’t go as planned. And when you’re dealing with supervillains, things rarely go according to plan!
Team Player
Allies — there’s no Lone Ranger in the comics; people like Batman and Captain America rely on the help of their sidekicks (Robin and Bucky) while Superman, Spiderman, Iron Man, etc. have a whole group of supporting characters to assist them in fighting crime. As a superhero, you need to have an army of sidekicks and friends who can help out in your activities — and you also need to be able to take orders from the boss.
Look Awesome
Nakedness — the hero must look good naked because he or she is likely to end up that way as part of the costume; e.g., Superman can’t wear those tight blue Speedos forever! It’s like a special power in itself. And it’s not just that the hero is going to be stripped down to their undies for various transformations — they may also have some moments where they need to impress someone with how good-looking they are without any of their fancy clothing and/or superpowers. In every superhero movie, you will always find a superhero that looks super duper cool even in the crappiest situation or toughest confrontation.
Conclusion
The thing about superheroes is that they are real people who are forced to do extraordinary things to protect us from the forces of evil. They go out there every day, put their lives on the line, and risk being ridiculed or labeled as nuts for trying to save the world.
We don’t know if any superhero made it through old age but we hope so because we would hate to think that all those years of crime-fighting take their toll and leads them into a lonely life with no friends and family — just masked vigilantes with secret identities.
You have to wonder how much the superhero looks forward to being able to take off their mask and be normal for a while. It would be like standing naked — or rather nude — in the middle of Times Square! Perhaps the new generation of superheroes or future superheroes will just look like ordinary folks with mutant powers, living a decent domestic life.
